Dickens 200th Anniversary

You can't have missed this momentous anniversary, and the BBC has really gone to town with it. There are loads of Dickens films on over Christmas, and BBC Radio 3 is running a series about Dickens' use of language - perfect for your Wider Reading and examination practice. 'Jane Eyre' Film

Yesterday, Moira Buffini, screenwriter for this year's film of 'Jane Eyre', spoke at the Cheltenham Literary Festival about the allure of this novel and the challenges of adapting it for the cinema, especially how to structure the film without the advantage of the novel's first person narrator.
